Can You Be 45 Weeks Pregnant? [Solved]

Wow, some pregnancies can go over 42 weeks? Yeah, it’s true - post-term pregnancies happen in a small number of cases. But don’t worry, most of the time these babies are born healthy and happy. So if your pregnancy goes past 42 weeks, you should still be optimistic!

  1. Ultrasound: An ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging test that uses sound waves to create an image of the baby in the womb. It can be used to check the baby’s size, position, and health.

  2. Fetal Movement: At 45 weeks pregnant, you should be feeling your baby move regularly throughout the day. If you notice any changes in movement or if you don’t feel your baby moving at all, contact your doctor right away.

  3. Braxton Hicks Contractions: You may start to experience Braxton Hicks contractions at this stage of pregnancy which are practice contractions that help prepare your body for labor and delivery.

  4. Baby Development: Your baby is continuing to grow and develop during this time period with their lungs being almost fully developed by now and their brain continuing to mature as well as they prepare for life outside of the womb!

  5. Labor Signs: You may start experiencing signs of labor such as increased vaginal discharge, lower back pain, cramping or tightening in your abdomen or pelvic area, or a bloody show (a pinkish-brown mucus discharge).

I’m 45 weeks pregnant and feeling like I’m about to pop! It’s been a long haul, but I’m almost there. My due date is just around the corner and I can’t wait to meet my little one. In the meantime, I’m trying to take it easy and enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy.
