Length: A regulation football field is 100 yards long, or 300 feet. This equates to approximately 1/5 of a mile in length.
Width: The width of a football field is 53 1/3 yards, or 160 feet wide.
End Zones: Each end zone is 10 yards deep, making the total length of the field 120 yards long (360 feet).
Goal Posts: The goal posts are located at the back of each end zone and are 18 feet 6 inches apart from each other (measured from inside edge to inside edge).
Yard Lines: Every 5 yards there is a yard line marked on the field, with hash marks every 1 yard in between them for reference points during play.
